What To Wear

This is easily the most common question we hear. The answer depends on your industry and position. However, a classic suit in grey or navy is always a good choice.   If you opt to go open collar a light blue or patterned shirt looks better than solid white.

In general, stick with solid colors, and avoid busy patterns and distracting accessories. 

For ladies, a pop of color under the suit jacket by way of a shell or blouse can brighten the look but remain conservative. Keep jewelry small and classic if you wear any at all.

It is wise to bring extra options so we have alternatives to try.  Whatever you wear or bring, make sure it is clean and pressed and free of lint and pet hair. 

Grooming

Men, have your hair cut no sooner than 3 days prior to your appointment.  Trim facial hair if you wear a mustache or beard, and pay attention to eyebrows, sideburns, and nose hair.  A light dab of moisturizer and a swipe of lip balm will help skin look healthy.  Avoid getting sunburned or wind chapped right before your session.

For ladies, start with your everyday look and then take it up a notch.  Adding extra mascara and going a shade deeper with lip color helps your features stand out.  Keep it natural and dewy; avoid heavy liner, products with sunscreen, or excessive powder.

A professional makeup artist is also available for an additional charge to provide a makeup application and hair touchup.  If you are using the studio makeup artist arrive with a clean, moisturized face and dry hair.

Retouching

All images are subject to basic processing, which includes adjusting exposure, color, and contrast, as well as blemish removal. 

If an unexpected bump has made an unwelcome appearance, don’t sweat it:  blemish removal is included.  Retouching to brighten under the eyes, smooth skin, and whiten teeth is available as an optional add-on.
